Get connected to housing resources in your community

Housing Services

Side by Side has currently reduced its housing services. We are happy to connect you with one of our partners. Our resources are limited and focused in the greater Richmond area, but we can assist you in finding services in whichever part of Virginia you are located in.

How do I get support? email info@sidebysideva.org to connect with one of our staff and learn about community resources.

“Our housing support services are meant to give youth what they need to live independently and lead healthy, happy lives as themselves.”

We are available Mon.-Fri., 10am-4pm. If you are in need of emergency assistance outside of these hours, please contact one of our community partners (listed below)

Pride Place

Pride Place is a short-term housing option for LGBTQIA+ Youth on the campus of Virginia Home for Boys & Girls. This program is for those who are currently facing housing instabilities, unsafe or non-affirming housing. Youth can live with peers who identify under the LGBTQIA+ spectrum for up to 6 months. While in the program, youth work with an in-house Case Manager to develop a plan that is attainable and works towards their end goal of finding permanent/stable housing. Youth in this program are not responsible for paying rent and/or utilities, however they are responsible for providing their own food, hygiene and household items. Each person must be gainfully employed, save a reasonable amount to go toward end goal and follow the policies and procedures of this program created by Youth for Youth.
