Yes. Trainings and workshops are always free for K-12 youth student organizations and GSAs, but a cost is associated for all other organizations including for teachers and other educators. We understand budgets can be tight, so we operate on a sliding scale. After receiving the request form, we will be happy to provide further insight on cost during a free 30-minute consultation.

Charges associated with our trainings and workshop cover their development, the associated staff support, and associated materials. Revenue gained through trainings and workshops further other Side by Side services and allow us to provide presentations and direct support for youth organizations at no cost.

We will work to ensure the training and workshop is mindful of considerations shared in your training request submission and consultation call. Overall, however, content is uniform across organizations to best communicate fundamental knowledge and principles of inclusivity.

Yes. Trainings and workshops can be held in person or virtually.

Yes. The minimum and maximum caps can depend upon your organization. Generally, our minimum cap to facilitate a single session is 5 people, and our maximum cap to facilitate a single session is 50 people.

We ask that you request a training or workshop one month in advance. This ensures we’re all well prepared to develop a productive space for learning, dialogue, and implementation.

Learning is best facilitated in a live time session, so we generally do not allow recording of our trainings/workshops.
